Hi all: While some on our WhatsApp chat already heard the news we have officially decided on the SB-10 Jump Hour Black Meteorite as our first official group project watch.
Here is the standard meteorite SB-10 Meteorite on bracelet, MSRP $6,439. https://collectivehorology.com/products/sartory-billard-sb10-jumping-hour-meteorite-pre-order?variant=45526302195891
Our FTW version will have an exclusive design black meteorite cabochon and custom colored dial as well as a customized to each owner caseback as well as leather, rubber and metal bracelets (an additional $400ish dollar value)
Thanks to some negotiation and flexibility on the part of the Sartory Billard team, we are now able to procure this watch for everyone at $4,500!!
This represents an INCREADIBLE value to our members. We plan to do one or two more weeks of enrollment then lock in the group to begin last phase design decisions and deposits. This will be $2,250 due now, the remainder on completion targeting a November delivery.
For anyone who would like to participate and has yet to join our WhatsApp group here is the link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/DMeAvRyzd5s6qNO0iXaFBJ?mode=gi_t
Hope to see everyone there, cheers

I normally go with “watch nerd” watches. But this one has been on my radar since I was 25 years old and I’m now 46. I recently had a very positive financial transaction and finally pulled the trigger. In the words of Fed, “I absolutely LOVING it.”

Hi all who might have recommendations. I am inheriting a lot of guns from my father. Some collectible and valuable, some controversial, some practical for hunting and self defense. Interested in keeping some, selling some, distributing some from estate to sibling who might want one or two.
I need help ideally from someone in person in the Pacific Northwest figuring out what to do with them all as I have little interest in guns as collectors items and don't know much about how to assess their condition or how to go about managing this distribution. Wondering if anyone can make a recommendation to such a trustworthy individual or organization

Just picked up my first watch from the collective dealers market. I almost couldn’t believe the price. Checking chrono24, and Fed’s deal was at LEAST 30% lower than the next best. And I picked up a TRUE watch nerd watch. I’m a long time Delray Watch customer but this is a new level of awesome
my point of this post? First to thank Fed and team for offering these deals. And second to say you are really missing out if you’re not seriously shopping the market on here.
cheers everyone - now to explain to the wife who Vincent Calabrese is and why I HAD to buy his watch. 😂

Sorry for the late thread. I was in the air all day yesterday... What is everyone wearing this week?

Anyone have experience with WYW auctions or retail purchases they can share? I saw a few nice pieces go at auction for attractively "reasonable" (less than what's offered on Chrono) prices.

… For babies and toddles.
My son, who is 2.5, reads it every night before bed. He can now say Vecheron and Breitling correctly. Still working on Urwerk.
it has been one of his bedtime books since he was a newborn. 😂

Hi Guys I wanted to share my new Laine V38 watch that arrived. I’m still waiting on the alligator straps to come in so I put a generic strap on for now. Let me know what you think.

I'm trying to trade 3 of my watches for a watch on watchfinder. After their initial offer I countered with even trade (my 3 for their 1). They responded, "We don't do 'cashback trades' due to tax laws" and increased their offer amount by a bit for each watch (not enough to get near even though). I tried to google these tax laws including for my state (WA) but I don't understand. Can you explain what they're saying here and the tax implications of this kind of transaction?

What precautions should someone take when selling a watch—either to a dealer or on the secondary market—to protect their privacy and preserve their relationship with their authorized dealer?
I am especially interested in how this applies to Rolex. For example, should the seller include or withhold the warranty card, sales receipt, hang tags, purchase history, or any paperwork that could identify the original AD or purchaser? Are there best practices for avoiding unnecessary exposure while still making the watch attractive to a serious buyer?
I want to understand the proper etiquette and privacy considerations before selling. I feel like I may be missing out on experiencing new watches simply because I cannot let go of previous purchases. (sorry if there is a guide or video answering this topic)

Is this a good deal for this watch? Would you trust this dealer?
--
I am having difficulty choosing a watch, which one do you prefer?
The Blancpain 5010-1130-b64a
or
Glashutte 1-36-13-01-80-70
Maybe it could be a grail. Would one be easier to get?
Thank you very much!
Todd

How high is this? And the dealer. Please advise what you think is a reasonable price for a 5119R-001 Rose Gold Calatrava with box and papers. Description says near mint. Strap looks near new. US dealer. Thanks.

can you find one close to the same price as the white dial listed on the collective

Hi All,
I imagine a lot of us here do quite a bit of travel. I think it would be cool to post your favorite restaurant in the city you are local too. This could be some very useful information for us road warriors.
I will start. I highly recommend Sonny's in Miami. A bit of a hot spot right now but this non traditional steakhouse offers fantastic food options, a great cocktail list and a "cool" vibe. Be sure to get the Rib cap if you ever visit!

Hi,
I'm newer to the community so may have missed this, but wondering around how long shipping takes for US office based orders, not international. I'm getting married in 2 weeks and wanted to buy a watch for the occassion, but not sure if it would arrive on time. Also if anyone knows if I can pay for expedited shipping I'd appreciate that feedback as well.
Thanks for your help,
Nate

Hi guys Fed here!
Let's do little member roll call. Post who you are, where you are from and what brought you here!
Obviously I am Fed. I live in Miami and I am the creator/admin of FTW. I have been collecting and working in watches since I dropped out of college many moons ago. Started by serving champagne in the Cartier Fifth Ave boutique in NY to now having a youtube channel, this great community and delraywatch.com. Watches is my addiction and unfortunately I think I am too late for a twelve step program!
