Curious as to views on this watch, with box, no papers. Offered at 14,950$ “with some room”. Appears to be in very good condition

Hello all. I am writing as a collector asking advice from dealers (and/or collectors).
The context: I am currently seeking my first > 10k watch purchase: a Patek 6000G. I am buying to wear and enjoy, so am thinking more about what would please me than concerns about re-sale. (I have given away a few pieces but not ever sold one.) I prioritize a watch being in beautiful shape and running as accurately as possible, and hopefully not needing a service for a good while. I have some specific requirements in this case: black dial, earlier model with the Geneva seal, rhodium plating roughly intact.
In this context, I have five questions. I hope to be educated and that responses will also be helpful to other collectors.
Thank you for any insights and reflections!

What is everyone wearing?

Heads up guys. I have to be on the road today. I have to postpone the livestream.

What do you guys think of the Black Bay Flamingo? I’ve been eyeing it but can’t decide on pulling the trigger or not. I don’t know much about Tudor, but from everything I’ve heard they’re solid pieces. Thoughts?

I love JLC. Always did. But the new steel Master control date is around 18k USD (15,2k EUR)????
Yes it is a bit different and has a bracelet now.. but 18k? How?
I'm aware the volumes are going down.. but this cant be the only way to address it.
There is an incredible gold Reverso with complications on the FTW market now available for 12,6K. Granted, it is a privileged and fantastic price but still everyone involved are making a bit of money on it.. so how can JLC justify such huge price bumps.. is the plan to only cater to very rich people selling a few units for insane prices?
Don't they realise how dangerous that approach is?
Any thoughts on this.. or am I completely wrong...

The Dealer's Market is has had some unbelievable watches on it lately. The two Chopards and Breguet today, the JLCs and the Moser on Friday.
Glad to see the Moser and Breguet go quickly. That Alpine Eagle with the high beat LUC movement and gray dial is fire.

Some/most of you may be familiar with these two dealers, but if you aren’t, check them out. They care some amazing and unique stuff (new and preowned).

We have now added filters as well as sorting to the dealer's market. You can now filter by availability.

Hey, Fed. I love the look of that watch — honestly, everything about it. It's just too small for me, I think. Is there a similar model that's slightly bigger, at least 39–40mm? Any thoughts or suggestions? I'd prefer it on a bracelet rather than a strap. If nothing comes to mind, could you post a wrist shot?

I saw this cool little project posted on Reddit and thought I’d share with the Collective.
Credit goes to u/BlackSpargel, posted to the r/Watches subreddit, with the goal “to make a comprehensive graphic of all watch groups” he could find.
I had zero role in this and don’t attest to its accuracy. But on quick glance, it looks pretty darn good. Enjoy…

What is a watch that you want in your collection, but it keeps escaping you?

I am attracted to watches that not everyone owns. Rolex and Omega are certainly great brands but most everyone with a nice watch has one. I currently own Cartier, Breitling, Corum but also RevueThommen, Gevril and Mervin. What are your thoughts on Pequignet? I have seen some beautiful pieces on Chrono but have never held one in my hand. I especially like the Concorde 40mm.

What is the cost of Rolex Daytonas stainless steel? What is the cost of Rolex President Platinum?

It might be simpler to list the sold watches in a separate section so that people can see the unsold available listings easier.

Good morning everyone:
I have two Pateks in need of service. ( a Calatrava circa 1990s and a rare platinum Tiffany 425) Can anyone recommend a reputable service agent. I was under the impression that Patek does not service its watches and uses a firm called Henry Stern in New York. Does Patek still service its watches? Any information would be helpful.
Thanks
Tim
