I understand the economics, no box and papers means lower value and tougher resale, but I’ve been told most secondary purchases don’t include them. I’m fine with a Rolex sports model without them, yet I hesitate on higher horology. I’m looking at an A. Lange & Söhne that’s “naked,” and I feel pieces at that level should have complete provenance. Is that a sensible stance or am I costing myself thousands?

What some watches you do not understand why people buy? I will start. Richard Mille! It looks like a cheaply made watch. It just screams, "Hey i just spent $500,000 on a gumball coin machine watch."

I imagine a lot of us here do quite a bit of travel. I think it would be cool to post your favorite restaurant in the city you are local too. This could be some very useful information for us road warriors.

I will start. I highly recommend Sonny's in Miami. A bit of a hot spot right now but this non traditional steakhouse offers fantastic food options, a great cocktail list and a "cool" vibe. Be sure to get the Rib cap if you ever visit!

I've been spending some time on auction sites like Bezel and Loupe This and it seems like there are potentially some incredible deals to be had.

Just scrolling through the past sales on LT I'm seeing some amazing watches for thousands under comps on C24.

Anyone have any experience/advice/insider info on these auctions? Besides Everywatch are there are other sites that you guys use for valuations on pricing? Is there some kind of formula I could use to figure out my ceiling outside of my gut and the prices I'm seeing for retail?

I went to the TAG Heuer AD in NYC and really loved a lot of what they were selling. After looking through the listings on C24 I see tons of watches I'd be psyched to own and could be perfect daily drivers.

I see tons of hate towards them on some forums but I don't get it - what am I missing? Is it the quality isn't great? The actual "mechanics" are sub-par? Seems like given their history they should be up there just below the big boys...
