Curious what the thoughts are regarding Ressence watches. I’ve owner a Type 1 Hodinkee, a Type 3 BBB and have a Type 5 that I love, but I am looking to trade.

Federico, any thoughts on organizing a small watch meetup sometime? I think it would be a great opportunity to connect in person, talk watches, share collecting experiences, and maybe enjoy a good whiskey together.

It could be a relaxed “Watches & Whiskey” type of evening where everyone brings a few interesting pieces from their collection to share and discuss. You could even bring some of your current inventory so people can try on pieces they normally wouldn’t get the chance to see in person.

I think it would be a great way to meet fellow enthusiasts and build more of a local watch community outside of just online conversations.

I found out that Tudors with Kenissi movements get replaced with refurbished movements upon service. This makes the watch feel cheap and disposable to me. Are there ways to get them independently serviced and retain your original movement? Does Tudor have this replacement policy with their Breitling B01 based chronos as well? Does anyone know other brands with similar servicing policies?

Hello! I am interested in a current Chronometer Sovereign that’s listed for sale with a large grey dealer. This particular piece is 20 years old has a white dial and platinum case. It’s is very good to excellent condition and is offered as a complete set. Is 135k a respectable value for this piece? I’ve purchased some upper end watches, this one is about 50k more than I’ve ever spent. I really love the watch and have to pinch myself that I’m in a position to buy it. Is it my dream Journe, no.. do I love it yes! IMHO, any Journe is a grail! Thoughts and opinions here will have great value to me! Cheers
