A Reverso has been on my list for ages but my "favourite" one keeps changing. At the moment I'm torn between a modern simple and clean Tribute and complicated Grand Reversos from 2010s. Is it worth reaching so long into the past? How was the quality back then? Should I expect alot of problems? Is there a best period in terms of quality / finishing? Thank you all in advance :)

I used to have a Rolex Seadweller, traded it away, and am now looking again but they’re INSANELY expensive now. I found the Tudor Black Bay 68 (blue dial) and think it’s an amazing watch for a fraction of the price. It stands on its own without needing to compare it against Rolex. I’m at the point where I don’t think of Tudor as “Rolex lite” at all anymore.

Dealers and Experts: are there any quality issues that I may not be aware of (or other reasons why I should hesitate on Tudor)? I know watch preferences are individually subjective, but would like to know if there are any “red flags” you’re aware of.

Ive long been a fan, but it’s a whole nother price level for me and I worry it won’t look good on me. But I’m thinking for this price I should be able to get my money back (at least most of it) if I can’t pull it off.

My nephew is starting University next year. His father is absent and him and I are very close. I am thinking of getting him his first proper watch. Budget around $1000 or so. Students being students - he might lose it or break it - but I live in hope that he won’t. Sporty, very bright young man - his only fault is that he isn’t into watches just yet. Any suggestions from you fine gentleman on what my approach should be and what watches I should consider? Thank you.

Just picked this up at the Longines boutique at Churchill Downs. Not bad!
