I’d love to learn more about some really good independent watch brands that are out there. There are so many and I’d love to add an independent piece to my collection around the $5k range. Any good value brands in this price range?

For years, I’ve been trying to win one of the MB&F M.A.D. Raffles. This year I finally won the watch just came. It is very cool and very fun. I didn’t realize that I would have to cut the strap in order to size it. Obviously, it’s a very funky watch and I have about 30 watches already so I’m very selective about ones that I’ll actually wear .. This one is obviously finding funky and cool to show your friends at a watch meet but there are other things I would like to add as well… once I cut the strap obviously it’ll be harder to sell so the question becomes cut or not cut?

It’s my first UN and I just purchased it for $7275 and would love to get input. I already bought it and will keep it but would value any information from this community on whether I got a good deal or not.

Thank you for doing this Fed!! I have always wanted to ask you this question. I know the first rule of watch collecting is to buy what you like. But, what are some watches you tell people to dodge? Like if they break a lot or service cost does not match the value of a watch, ect. Thank you for your input.

So I'm looking to pick up a JLC Reverso Duoface specifcally Ref Q3848423, are there any discounts on these at ADs anymore? Should have picked one up before all the price increases in the last few years but it is what it is. Considering they don't seem to take much of a hit on the secondary market I doubt it but figured I would ask.
