The watch: The Girard-Perregaux World Time Chronograph, ref 49805-52-726SBACA. 43mm, 18k 5N pink gold, silver dial, white and green 24-hour ring, caliber GP033C0. Limited edition of thirty for Pakistan. signified by the day night ring being in the color of the flag as well as the former capital, Karachi, being highlighted in green.

Being of Pakistani descent and this reference has been the one for me for years. Thirty pieces made. I finally found one in China, in rough shape: tired movement and silver dial, both rings damaged.

Sent it to Girard-Perregaux in February for the full treatment. Complete overhaul, new silver dial, both rings, new crystal, gaskets, water resistance, new alligator strap. Back to factory spec. I am also pulling the archive documentation for the edition. Not a cheap

I was hoping to add a picture to the "whats on your wrist" as it arrived today, after five months but it is missing an 18k gold pusher!!!! and now this is a rant :(

Photographed it and sent the images to the service center in Boca Raton. They have not had a chance to respond yet and I will update when they do.

Anyone been through this with a factory service?
