Well, not so good maybe. I sold my H Moser Pioneer last week on eBay and shipped it off to the authenticator. It passed authentication very quickly and was sent to the buyer. He received it yesterday afternoon and immediately sent me pictures of a deep gouge in the dial! Luckily, I had sent him a picture of the watch packed for shipping and he seems totally sure the damage came from the authenticator.

The buyer did reach out to eBay, who asked him to get a quote on a repair. This did unfortunately start a “return” on the item, so I’ll have to wait and see what happens there.

I’m not a watch dealer, I buy and sell for fun and haven’t ever had anything like this happen. Have any of you experienced anything similar? Should I reach out to the authentication place or eBay directly? What would your next move be?
