I have a Grand Seiko night birch, which is a high beat with their dual impulse escapement. I had to bring it in for service under warranty in 2023 because it was running 20 seconds fast per day. Seiko fixed it but now it’s creeping up again and running more than 10 seconds fast per day. (It’s supposed to be -3 to +5). Also, the manual winding now requires hundreds of winds. It’s under warranty still so I brought it back to the local AD to be sent to Seiko (and probably to Japan for this movement).

I have other Grand Seikos which have been very reliable (both high beat and spring drive).

I am curious if others have had issues with GS watches - either with the original watch or their service?
